Organizational Contest
Saturday April 27th, 2013
Manteno Middle School
I am very excited to travel to Manteno with the 7th/8th
grade band to perform for the IESA Organizational Contest. The kids are well
prepared, working hard and ready to go! Here
is the BAND schedule for Saturday April 27th:
11:00AM- Band
students and band/choir students arrive at Reed-Custer Middle School. Load
busses (instruments, folders, percussion equipment)
11:20AM- Leave for
Manteno Middle School
12:05PM- Arrive at
Manteno Middle School, Manteno, IL. Find homeroom, check-in
12:35PM-Warm-up in
warm-up room
1:00PM-
Performance in gym
1:45PM- Band
students ONLY leave for Reed-Custer Middle School
2:30PM- Arrive at
RCMS
If you are a band/choir student, we will find Mr. Batko
after the band performance and get ready to perform with choir. The choir
homeroom is the same as the band homeroom. You will then go back to RCMS on the
choir bus with Mr. Batko. YOU MIGHT RIDE A DIFFERENT BUS HOME THEN THE ONE YOU
CAME ON. Please make sure everything comes off the bus and into the homeroom
with you when we arrive in Manteno.
The dress for the festival is:
-Black dress pants, music polo shirt (w/white undershirt), black shoes,
black socks
We will be taking a school bus up to the festival on
Saturday. The arrival home time is an approximation, so allow for pick-up time
back at school to be somewhere between 2:15-2:45PM. We will have students call
home when we are about 20 minutes away from RCMS.
Please sign the attached form and turn in to Mr. Klos by Tuesday April 23rd. Students
may leave Manteno Middle School with their parents/guardians, as long as the
student has written permission and I see parents/guardians for checkout.
