Good Afternoon,
The Dwight Harvest Days parade is this Sunday Sept 22nd. Students in marching band must report to RCMS at 10:30AM, we will leave by bus to Dwight Elementary School at 11AM. We will step off for the parade at 12:40PM from Dwight Elementary and be back to the busses by around 1:30PM (busses will stay at the elementary school). There is an awards ceremony at 4PM at the high school football field that we will stay for, but you may take your child home after we arrive back to the busses at the elementary school when the parade is done AS LONG AS YOU CHECK OUT WITH MR. KLOS. Students must change out of their uniforms and leave them on the bus to go back to RCMS, but you must take your instrument home and bring it back to school on Monday morning.
There will be snacks available before the parade and after by the busses (bring cash if you like) brought to you by the Dwight Music Boosters.
All students must bring their black marching shoes, black socks, and a white tshirt for underneath the uniform. Please do not wear jeans, as they will shoe through the bottom of the uniform. We suggest athletic shorts because they are light, and the uniforms are thick wool (it will be hot out, so you will be happier if you wear shorts!!!).
All students must attend the parade, unless you have talked to me already about an excused absence.
Finally, we have a rehearsal this Thursday night Sept 19th from 5:30-7PM to combine the whole marching band for a final rehearsal before the parade. Please be on time and meet at the middle school.
