This is the itinerary for the Dwight Harvest Days Parade this Sunday September 21st. I am very excited to see the kids perform, they look AWESOME! Just a reminder, we have an extra rehearsal this Thursday from 5:30-7:00PM at the middle school to combine the 6th, 7th and 8th graders together. We need parent volunteers to help out with last minute uniform issues, passing out water at the parade, and for chaperoning the students on the day of the parade! Please look over this itinerary for the day. If you have questions or can help out with the parade, you can contact me at michael.klos@rc255.net or call me at 815-458-2868 Ext. 3217. BAND UNIFORM: Jacket, black uniform pants, black socks, black marching shoes, hat, gloves, white t-shirt on underneath (any students who haven’t ordered shoes need to use black marching shoes from school until new ones are ordered). Long hair must be put up into a bun under the hat, not long ponytails. NO JEANS UNDER UNIFORM PANTS, WEAR ATHLETIC SHORTS!

COLORGUARD: Uniform, black socks, black shoes, gloves (from school), no jewelry!

STUDENT SIGN-OUT AFTER PARADE

Any students who will be leaving with their parents/guardians after the parade must check out with me first before leaving. Your parent/legal guardian must sign-out with me as well so I know for sure you are safely getting home. Each student must walk back to the bus to change out of their uniform after the parade, then they are free to leave with their parents. Uniforms do not go home with you after the parade, they stay on the bus. MR. KLOS WILL NEED TO CHECK THAT YOU CAREFULLY STORED YOUR UNIFORM AWAY IF YOU ARE GOING HOME WITH YOUR FAMILY. You are responsible for getting your instrument home and back to school on Monday. NO STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO LEAVE UNLESS I TALK YOUR PARENTS AHEAD OF TIME!!! I must have permission from the parents/guardians ahead of time.

FULL GROUP PICTURE
Mr. Klos would like to participate in the full group picture this year. This is something new they are doing at Dwight and I think it is a great idea! Here is the information I have so far…

This year a local photographer has offered to take pictures of each band in uniform and offer up Poster Orders. If you would like to pass that along to your Students they will be $10 each and minimum order of 10 from each school, which they will ship directly to the directors. If you would like to see their work their website is http://www.j7images.com/. They really do beautiful work!
